Jo brings over 30 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, having worked within the NHS and more recently in the Independent Sector. She currently practices part-time as an Nurse Endoscopist and is also a qualified Independent Nurse Prescriber.
With extensive professional training in aesthetics from Derma Medical and the Dr Bob Khanna Training Institute, along with a strong interest in gut and skin health, Jo delivers a holistic, safe, and highly professional approach to skincare, medical aesthetics and overall wellness.
Her goal is to provide safe, effective, and affordable treatments for both men and women, using only medically approved products and procedures. Jo offers dedicated prescriber sessions and consultations, giving each client the opportunity to discuss their individual skin concerns and treatment expectations in confidence.
Kristy Barnes RN
Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner
Kristy is a highly experienced registered nurse who began her career in 2012. With over a decade of clinical expertise, she made the transition into aesthetic medicine in 2021, training at the prestigious Harley Academy in London. Since then, she has completed her Level 7 qualification in injectables and an advanced dermatology module, ensuring she delivers the highest standards of care and results.
Kristy is passionate about enhancing natural beauty and believes that subtle, refined treatments can have a powerful impact on confidence and wellbeing. One of her favourite treatments is microneedling, thanks to the remarkable improvements it brings to skin texture and tone.
At BeCalmed Medical Aesthetics, Kristy combines medical knowledge with an artistic eye to help every client feel like the best version of themselves. She looks forward to welcoming you and supporting you on your aesthetic journey.

Jo is also a member of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN) and the International Academy for Advanced Facial Aesthetics (IAAFA), demonstrating their dedication to maintaining the highest standards in aesthetic practice.
