Jo brings over 30 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, having worked within the NHS and more recently in the Independent Sector. She currently practices part-time as an Nurse Endoscopist and is also a qualified Independent Nurse Prescriber.
With extensive professional training in aesthetics from Derma Medical and the Dr Bob Khanna Training Institute, along with a strong interest in gut and skin health, Jo delivers a holistic, safe, and highly professional approach to skincare, medical aesthetics and overall wellness.
Her goal is to provide safe, effective, and affordable treatments for both men and women, using only medically approved products and procedures. Jo offers dedicated prescriber sessions and consultations, giving each client the opportunity to discuss their individual skin concerns and treatment expectations in confidence.
Kristy Barnes RN
I’m a registered nurse with over a decade of experience, having qualified in 2012, and I began my journey into aesthetics at the renowned Harley Academy in London in 2021. Since then, I’ve completed my Level 7 qualification in injectables and an advanced dermatology module to ensure I offer the highest standards of care and expertise. I’m passionate about enhancing natural beauty—believing that subtle, refined changes can make a world of difference. One of my favourite treatments is Microneedling, as I’ve seen first-hand the incredible improvements it can bring to skin texture and tone. I can’t wait to welcome you to BeCalmed Medical Aesthetics and help you feel your most confident self.
ACCREDITATION AND INSURANCE
I am registered as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and also as an Independent Nurse Prescriber (INP). I am a member of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN) and the International Academy for Advanced Facial Aesthetics (IAAFA). I hold professional cosmetic insurance with Hamilton Fraser and am proud to have achieved accreditation with Save Face, a government backed organisation accrediting the aesthetics industry .
